Blanca La Jolla

The La Jolla was Blanca Padel's original statement racket — named after San Diego's coastal enclave, and built with a single-minded purpose: hit the ball very, very hard.

The formula is classic attacking padel: diamond shape, hard EVA foam, high balance, 12K carbon fiber face. There's no clever multi-density core, no aerodynamic trickery — just mass in the head and a stiff face to deliver it. When you connect cleanly on a smash, the reward is immediate and loud. Among sub-$200 rackets, few hit harder.

The trade-off is that the La Jolla makes zero concessions. The hard core is firm on every shot, whether you wanted firmness or not. Blocks at the net need soft hands you'll have to supply yourself, and off-center hits ring through your wrist honestly. It's a racket with one opinion, strongly held.

The awkward part of this review is family competition: the La Jolla Rough exists now, costs $15 more, and improves on this racket in almost every dimension that matters — spin, maneuverability, forgiveness. The original still makes sense if you prefer a smooth face, want the absolute stiffest response in the lineup, or find it discounted.

As the racket that put Blanca Padel on the map, it's earned its place. As the racket to buy in 2026, it's been lapped by its own little sibling — which is exactly what a healthy young brand should be doing.
